The Strautmann Magnon's 35 mm cutting length is ensured by the Exact-Cut cutting system in combination with an integrated rotor. The extremely small gap between the rotor's transport teeth and the blade produces a continuous, scissor-like precision cut and uniform forage chopping. The robust and proven rotor drive transmits power reliably, even under difficult working conditions.

The unique Flex-Load pick-up (2.25 m wide) on Strautmann Magnon trailers ensures a high quality pick-up, even on uneven terrain. The innovative flexible fingers lift the grass accurately while reducing mechanical wear and tear and operating costs.

CFS Continuous Flow System

To ensure that work can continue without downtime, Magnon trailers are equipped with the CFS (Continuous Flow System). The integrated rotor above ensures that the feed is evenly distributed across the entire width of the load area, allowing maximum and uniform filling. The shorter loading path reduces the power requirement and ensures faster loading with less energy.

Knife protection system

Strautmann collection trailers are equipped with a knife protection system with a precision-triggered function that is extremely low-maintenance. If a knife comes into contact with a foreign object, it is completely withdrawn from the transport channel, minimising the risk of damage to the knife blade.

The Exact-Cut cutting system ensures consistent and flawless Chopping quality: 52 double-sided blades with individual protection achieve precise and even 35 mm theoretical cutting size, and the central locking mechanism ensures quick and easy blade changes.

Also, the automatic blade retraction mechanism guarantees high ride comfort and the maintenance-free design helps reduce maintenance costs.

The unique Flex-Load pick-up is the result of decades of experience in silage trailers. The innovative plastic tines provide exceptional wear resistance. They are stiff enough to precisely lift the forage off the roller, but flexible enough to adapt to uneven terrain. This reduces mechanical wear, operating costs and operator workload – the ideal solution for efficient work every day.

CFS Continuous Flow System with Integrated Rotor

Perfect feed flow is ensured by the CFS system with an integrated, overhead rotor, which not only evenly distributes the feed distributes materials across the entire width of the cargo area, but also shortens the loading path, reducing power requirements and allowing for maximum and uniform filling. This ensures faster loading using less energy.

Rotor and its drive

The integrated rotor on the Magnon 10 trailer stands out solid construction and high work efficiency. Its conveyor width reaches 18.9 cm, and the 105 mm wide integrated parts allow to move the feed evenly. 17 mm wide Hardox toe plates ensure precise and uniform cutting even under intensive use. The arrangement of the bars and tines at a large angle to each other improves the feed flow and helps prevent blockages.

The rotor drive is designed for reliable operation – it has 2200 Nm protection, allowing smooth operation even in difficult conditions. The speed is reduced only just before the rotor, which reduces the torque load on the transmission, which contributes to smooth, efficient and long-lasting operation.

For optimal feed quality, STRAUTHMANN presents grass silage handling equipment. In order to maintain the best quality of feed, the grass loaded into the self-loading trailer is gently but optimally chopped. Customers can purchase tri-axle trailers and dump trucks as well as trailers for convenient feed transportation. Also, manure and universal shakers are available in various sizes.
