Surface shaving and deep loosening
One of the key features of the Terrix Dual heavy tine cultivator is the ability to combine surface tillage with deeper tine cultivation in a single pass. At the surface, crop residues are intensively incorporated into the soil, while the tines simultaneously loosen deeper layers, improving water absorption and helping to reduce soil compaction. This results in high quality soil preparation, saving time and reducing the number of field trips.
Intensive incorporation of crop residues into the soil
The Terrix Quatro heavy tine cultivator is distinguished by its intensive incorporation of crop residues into the soil profile. The four rows of tines ensure even loosening and mixing over the entire working width, so that straw and other crop residues are efficiently distributed throughout the cultivated layer. This promotes faster decomposition of residues, improves soil structure and helps to prepare the field for further tillage or sowing operations.

The machine can be equipped with different durable and maintenance-free tine protection systems, so it can be adapted to different soil conditions. With a release force of up to 600 kg, the guard systems help protect the working units from overloading and ensure reliable operation even on heavier or stony soils.

- Working area. The working depth can be adjusted over a wide range from 10 to 35 cm. The optimised four rows of working tines ensure very good tillage and intensive mixing of the soil with plant residues.
- Stolen goods ironing area. The ironing discs also enhance the effect of incorporating plant residues.
- Crushing and compaction zone. Optimal soil re-compaction ensures good water infiltration and capillary rise to the surface.

- Tillage zone 1. The first and second rows of tines are arranged consecutively one after the other. The first row, with its optimised geometry, cultivates the soil to a depth of 10-15 cm. The second row of special tines forms deeper cultivated strips than the first row, up to a depth of 15-35 cm.
- First furrow levelling zone. The ironing discs also reinforce the effect of incorporating plant residues.
- Second cultivation zone. The third and fourth rows of coulters are also arranged in succession and work the soil in the intermediate strips after the first tillage zone. The third row of coulters again cultivates the soil to a depth of 10-15 cm. The fourth row again forms deeper cultivated strips after the third row, to a depth of 15-35 cm.
- The second furrow levelling zone. The ironing discs also reinforce the effect of incorporating plant residues.
- Crushing and compaction zone. Optimal soil compaction ensures good water absorption and capillary rise to the surface.
