3–9-row row cultivators designed on the basis of a modular system
ZSC – row cultivators designed on the basis of a modular system
NIVA-TOP ZSC Furrow Cultivators features a modular design, which allows the equipment to be adapted for various crops grown in furrows, such as, for potatoes, parsley, or carrots.
Quick-release mechanisms make it easy and quick to change the arrangement of the working parts and adjust the cultivator for the care of different crops. The system consists of several separate modules that can be configured to meet the specific needs of the farm.

Unique Features of the NIVA-TOP ZSC Furrow Cultivator
Four stages of tire maintenance in a single trip

The NIVA-TOP ZSC consists of four working modules operating in sequence, each performing different furrow maintenance operations. The first module loosens the soil close to the plants, the second loosens the sides and bottom of the furrows, the third re-covers the sides of the furrows with soil, and the fourth levels and compacts the furrows. In this way, comprehensive furrow maintenance is performed in a single pass, restoring their shape.
Precise maintenance of working depth and position

The ZSC working sections are mounted on a separate frame that is moved sideways by hydraulic cylinders, allowing for precise adjustment of their position relative to the crop rows. The two support wheels on each section roll along the furrow ridge and help maintain a consistent tillage depth. This ensures precise operation close to the plants, even when the furrow profile is uneven.
Effective tillage of the sides and bottom of furrows

The discs, mounted at an angle, cut away the topsoil layer on the sides of the furrows to a depth of just 1–3 cm, while the spring-loaded tines loosen the bottom of the furrows. This tillage method allows for the mechanical removal of weeds in different areas of the furrow, ensures stable operation, and reduces the risk of the cultivator clogging, even in fields with heavy weed growth.
Quick adaptation to different cultures

The ZSC’s modular design and quick-release mechanisms make it easy to change the arrangement of the working elements and adapt the cultivator to different crops grown in furrows. The same equipment can be configured for the care of potatoes, carrots, parsley, and other crops, taking into account their specific growing requirements and furrow profiles.
The first module consists of working sections that till the soil right next to the plants. Since this area requires a very high degree of precision, the sections are mounted on a separate frame, which can move side to side regardless of the rest of the cultivator's design. The frame moves along linear guides with slide bearings, and its The position is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder. Each working section is equipped with two support wheels that roll along the surface of the furrow ridge and ensure constant working depth. The soil-displacement discs closest to the plants direct the soil away from the row of plants, while the weed-cutting blades positioned further away till the soil in the inter-rows. The second module consists of work sections designed for to loosen the bottom and sides of the furrows. The discs mounted at an angle are shallow, only 1–3 cm deep, cuts away the topsoil layer from the sides of the furrows. This design ensures stable operation and reduces the risk of the equipment clogging, even in fields with heavy weed growth. Spring-loaded tines are used to loosen the soil at the base of the rows, which loosens the soil between the rows of plants. The third module consists of grain collection discs, whose main function is to— reapply the soil on the sides of the grooves and restore their shape. The fourth module consists of furrow-forming tines, which levels and compacts the furrows. This is particularly important for ensuring the proper shape and stability of the furrows.
