In 1971, Strautmann introduced the first silage block cutter, which fundamentally changed the technology of silage collection. To this day, this device remains reliable solution, ensuring particularly clean feed removal from the trench.

Thanks to the improved knife drive Hydrofox HQ+ the model offers loading capacity from 1.75 to 2.80 m², while maintaining perfectly smooth cutting surface.

The wide cutting frame allows a large amount of silage to be cut in a single pass. Depending on the model, the cutting area ranges from 1.75 to 2.80 m², which speeds up feed preparation, reduces labor time, and increases the efficiency of daily feeding.

A clean silage cut with no structural damage

Thanks to the narrow cutting bar design, the silage is cut easily and precisely without disrupting the structure of the remaining silage front. This helps reduce secondary fermentation, protects the forage from exposure to air, and helps maintain higher forage quality.

Continuous knife operation

The hydraulic drive speed-shifting system ensures full blade movement throughout the entire operation. This allows for consistent cutting performance even when working with densely packed silage and reduces the likelihood of operational disruptions.

Knives

Available with lifting frame for extra high pick-up height.
Pickup height from 2.90-3.60 m.
The tractor's lifting capacity is effectively utilized due to the short distance to the frame.

Towing

Category II (standard) or Category III (optional) hitching is available.
Close coupling to the tractor ensures optimal driving stability.

Pusher

Standard mechanical pusher.
The lowering of the block occurs under the action of a tensioned spring.
Optionally available with a hydraulic pusher.

Management

Standard direct connection.
Each function requires a single-acting control valve with a return line or a double-acting control valve.
All HQ Plus models are available with an optional electro-hydraulic remote control kit for easy control from the tractor.

In order to maintain the best quality of feed, the grass loaded into the self-loading trailer is gently but optimally chopped. Customers can purchase tri-axle trailers and dump trucks as well as trailers for convenient feed transportation. Also, manure and universal shakers are available in various sizes.
