Valdas, a farmer from the Šakiai District, shares his first impressions after testing a six-body reversible plow OVLAC XPerience 6 OL with hydraulic protection.

No-till farming had been practiced on the farm for six years, but due to an increasing amount of weeds and an influx of slugs, it was decided to return to plowing.

„We haven’t plowed for six years, but we can no longer keep the weeds at bay. Now we’re also facing a slug infestation unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. We’re going back to plowing and doing away with no-till farming techniques,“ says Valdas J.

The plow can operate while the tractor is traveling both in the furrow and alongside it, making it ideal for tractors with dual wheels and an automatic steering system. Despite the poorly chopped straw, the plowing quality exceeded the farmer’s expectations.

„My first impression is very good. The plow is easy to adjust, and I’m very satisfied with the quality of the plowing—I wouldn’t have achieved this result with the plow I had before,“ says the farmer.

During the demonstration, plowing was performed at a depth of approximately 28 cm and a speed of 7–8 km/h using a 310 AG tractor. For more information about how the plow works and farmer Valdas J.’s experience, please watch the video.
