Preparing the machine for work

Water injectionThe water injection system allows water to be added to dry pressed materials.

Winder

Mobile wrapping table moves under the press and picks up the roll directly, quickly and carefully.

Double wrapping handle and two 750 mm film tensioners. 2 sensors reliably monitor the film and react quickly when the film runs out or tears.

Monitoring of single film roll mode. When the film runs out or tears, the wrapping table feed speed is reduced until an overlap of 50 % is again ensured. This completes the roll wrapping process without any interruptions.

Automatic film cutting and storage system. The stainless steel gravity knife cuts the film precisely. The standard floating film knife position ensures that the film peels off easily and leaves no residue.

The roller ramp folds hydraulically – ensures smooth roll lowering.

Management

What can be pressed?

Corn

Corn silage is made from the whole corn plant and is one of the most important cattle feeds to achieve high milk yields. Corn silage is a highly nutritious, high-energy feed. The energy comes from the starch of crushed corn grains and is rich in unrefined fiber. Therefore, it is an ideal feed to achieve higher milk yields and fatten animals.

In greater than 15^oh At temperatures above 100°C, the activity of microbacteria increases, which can affect the quality of the feed. Due to the very high compression during the VARIO-Master pressing process, unrivaled feed quality is achieved and the shelf life is extended.

Corn cereal

A high-energy feed consisting of crushed corn grains. It is fed to pigs, cattle and other small ruminants. Corn grain silage contains a lot of concentrated energy, which is obtained from starch, and has an excellent price-quality ratio compared to other concentrated feeds.

This feed is easier for animals to consume because the crushed grain maintains a better structure. Corn grain rolls are compact, making them easy to handle and are perfect for feeding animals in small quantities.

Lucerne

In addition to corn silage, the most important component of the feed given to cattle is alfalfa silage. The high nutritional value of the feed and the amount consumed affect milk yield. Alfalfa ensures high milk yield and improves soil quality as it grows. Alfalfa is usually difficult to preserve because it contains little sugar. Baling alfalfa into bales with the VARIO-Master significantly increases the quality of the silage. During baling, effective compression of the mass is ensured and air is quickly removed.

Sugar beet pulp

Sugar beet pulp is a very high energy source, but it is also tasty and easily digestible. It is an ideal supplement to grass silage because it has a negative ruminant nitrogen balance, which means it balances the protein balance in the rumen. Pressed pulp silage contains very little lactic acid, so the total acid content is very low. High compression and clean processing while the pulp is still warm are very important for the quality of the silage. Pressed bales cool down faster and can be fed to the animals sooner.

Grass

Grass silage is the most important feed for ruminants. The best feed consists of a mixture of different grasses. Grass species with a high sugar content guarantee a complete fermentation process. All types of grass can be pressed with the VARIO-Master baler.

Cereal cereal

Cereal grains are usually barley, wheat or triticale. Growing cereals ensures a reliable yield and has benefits in crop management through crop rotation. However, cereal grains contain very little energy and are difficult to ensile using conventional methods. Cereal grains crushed with the VARIO-Master make excellent silage because the press perfectly compresses the crushed grains and quickly removes air.

Sawdust

No matter what you want to pack – wood chips, wood chips, bark mulch or pellets – with the VARIO-Master you can compress them into compact rolls. This makes transport easier and saves storage space at the same time. The compressed rolls can be transported, stacked or palletized.

Mixed feed

It is a balanced mixture of basic and concentrated feed. It has an ideal balance of dry matter and energy. Such feed has a positive effect on milk yield and animal health. This feed is prepared for storage by mixing already fermented silages and ensiling them again. With the VARIO-Master baler, mixed feed bales are prepared for transport quickly, easily and inexpensively.

Dried feed

The VARIO-Master can be used to compress dried corn silage, hemp, clover leaves, alfalfa, etc.
